Stalking ancient Argentina's humid tidal flats
A hungry two horned predator craves a source of meat
It's nostrils's flare as the scent of prey drifts through the wind
The Saltasaurus just up shore will make a fitting feast
At the forest's edge
It's neck reaches up into the trees
Terror is signaled by snapping twigs
Carnotaurus' fury is unleashed
It lunges for the neck, drawing first blood
Chunks of flesh fall to the ground
Saltasaurus backs away, prepares to swing its tail
Carnotaurus jumps aside, avoiding the attack
Clawed feet slash deep into the Sauropod
Before charging forward, cracking several ribs
The flesh eating bull stands triumphant
Saltasaurus panics losing blood
Thrown off balance by the attack
Elongated neck now left exposed
Eyes fixed forward filled with rage
Blood drips from its' horns
Scale mosaic on its back
shimmers as it strikes
Sauropod flesh is torn by rapid fire bites
Massive bite force to the neck brings Saltasaurus down

Living battle tanks
Trudging through the plains
Prepared to battle for the right to spread their genes
A strong young male lets out a mighty bellow
Issuing a challenge to the alpha elder
The fighters charge, causing massive impact
Shaking the ground with every violent blow
Snarling, Stomping, Ramming and Bashing
Each intends to turn the other into bloody paste

Armored Skulls/Plated Backs/Spiked lined tails/Bony Clubs/Fused Lizards/On the warpath/Facing off, Ankylosaur combat
The elder struggles, staggering about
after being struck beneath the armor line
Clearly dazed and stunned, He regains his footing
Not yet ready to admit defeat.
As the young one charges he rears up on hind legs
With all his strength he brings a foot down on it's head,
He then spins around, club and skull connect.
Old one is victorious for one more rutting season!

Lurking amongst the woodland shadows
The new plunderers eye their prize
They pounce upon their unwitting prey
3 on one, before they realize
Iguanodon is not so easily overtaken
Blocking the brunt of the attack
The leader of the pack goes in for the kill
Only to receive a pair of spiked thumbs to the throat
Remaining Neovenators prepare their second strike
splitting up so that they may confuse the herbivore
Iguanodon remains in defensive mode
Scanning its surroundings, preparing for the worst
The largest makes her move, going for the head
jaws barely missing, snapping shut on air
Iguanodon swings around its massive tail
knocking its attacker to the ground!
One Neovenator lies bleeding out
Another barely conscious with a broken leg
The last of the hunters leaps into the air
Digging its' clas into Iguanodon's back
But not deep enough to slay the mighty foe
The straggler is easily bucked off
The would be victim looms over the theropod
Delivering a pair of spiked thumbs to the throat

never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too.

PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it. That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter.
