Its' belly now hungers for more
From rain forest to mangrove swamp
All within its' hunting grounds
Fearbeing caught within its' carnivorous gaze
Titan slayer, apex predator
King of ancient Africa
Jaws of 8 inch serrated teeth sink into its' prey
Tremors can felt from a distance
A glance to the horizon shows their source
There strides the Paralititan
Carcharodontosaurus zeroes in
Going for the neck of the tidal giant
Claws unleash a waterfall of blood
Anguished death throes echo across the landscape
As Paralititans' throat is slowly ripped apart
Bellows of pain suddenly go silent
The shaking ground is still once again
Jagged toothed jaws of primordial carnage
Cause yet another premature extinction

Lies the ground of the Maiasaurs
Hundreds of nests cannot always be guarded
While the parents leave to gather food
Stenonychosaurs, intelligent and swift, takes full advantage of this necessary absence
Viciously abducting the altricial hatchlings
Too young to run, too weak to fight back
The pack runs for the forest as the adults return
Their young hanging morbidly from troodontid beaks
Those still living cry out with a painful wail
One Maiasaura is compelled to pursue
Most of the pack escapes
To feed off tender hatchling meat
The slower ones panic as the Maiasaura closes in
Knocked to the ground, they lose their grip on the young, before being crushed by a mother's rage
